When will the Kalbarri skywalk be open?
The Kalbarri Skywalk is now open daily from 6am – 6pm.
Where do I go snorkelling?
Kalbarri’s well known “Blue Holes” is the most popular, but only when the swell is low. Blue Holes is a protection area for fish habitats and forms part of an inshore coastal limestone reef system, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling. You can also take a kayak, glass bottom boat, catamaran or aqua rush boat to get out further.
Are the currents dangerous?
Not usually. The Kalbarri spit is the least hazardous beach in the area. Other locations include Red Bluff and Nancy Beach, however they are only suitable for swimming when calm. Perth based surfers are prepared to drive the 600 km for a weekend of surfing at ‘Jakes’, being famous for its ‘Left Hander’.
Where can I fish?
Fishing is prohibited in the river area around Chinamans Beach, which is our beautiful swimming beach. The Blue Holes is also protected for fish habitats, making this another place to only admire the beauty of its life although there are many other areas available with many a fish to find.
Visit the local tackle shop for advice on what fish are in season and where to go to try your luck!
The Visitor Centre will stock The Kalbarri Fishing Guide, which is worth every cent of the $5 cost for a well-informed visit to the area. This will provide you with the fishing zones as well as any other relevant information you may need.
Where can I buy petrol?
You can find BP Kalbarri located on the north road heading into the town, open 7 days a week. Not only is there fuel/oils available, as well as a range of fishing supplies and camping gear (Phone: 08 9937 1800).
How can I get to Kalbarri without driving?
Though there are no flights to Kalbarri directly, you can use either TransWA or Integrity services to catch a bus into the town. You can locate information on timetables, ticket pricing and routes from the websites.
The Visitors Centre is available as a booking agent for both bus services mentioned.
What medical help is available?
Kalbarri Health Centre is a public hospital facility with fewer than 50 beds. While Centre Admin hours are Weekdays 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the hospital is open 24/7 for medical services. Other than this, there are some GP services easily located through a quick search on The Department of Health’s Service finder.

What about a Pharmacy?
The local goes by the name of Kalbarri Pharmacy. This is located in the heart of Kalbarri Lane, with access to the beach beyond the Pharmacy and Grey Street. Open the following hours:
Weekday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
What do I need to bring if I am staying in a cabin or villa?
Our accommodation is fully self-contained and the Villa’s also have their own washing machine. Linen and towels are provided on all beds. The kitchen has hotplates, microwave, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. The lounge has TVs and lounge chairs. There is also a dining setting and outdoor setting. Most people just bring their own beach towels and snorkelling gear. Our Ensuite Park Cabins are very affordable for the budget conscious, but you do need to bring your own linen.
Are there any restaurants?
YES, there are a number of great restaurants in Kalbarri. Finlays Kalbarri is the first of the town’s microbreweries to date, specialising in local seafood. Upstairs Restaurant is a new high end restaurant bringing extensive fine dining experience to the areas lunch-dinner options. This team prides themselves on not charging remote tourism prices while still providing amazing service. For something fun and family-friendly, you can even order Kalbarri Pizza & Pasta 555 online. There are several places to eat within a short walk from our park including the Kalbarri Motor Hotel and the Kalbarri Gilgai Tavern.
During the day, the Kalbarri Bakery (among other cafes) is open and is famous for breads and sweets.
Can I buy alcohol?
Yes – the town has a number of licensed restaurants as well as a drive through bottle shop at the hotel.
What about food shopping?
The local IGA is located at 47-49 Grey Street.. They provide a large variety of groceries, frozen meats and great fresh vegetables as well as fuel.
Do you have a playground or pool?
We provide accommodation particularly close to the Pool for those who prefer a restricted swim in the shade, otherwise the Pool is open for all park attendees. The park now has its own Jumping pillow for kids to enjoy and play on, this is located nearby a playground and grass area directly next to the park.
What phone reception is available?
Most major phone carriers now have coverage in Kalbarri.
Where can I get Wi-Fi access?
Kalbarri Tudor Holiday Park provides our guests with Free Wi-Fi access.
If you have your own hotspot with Telstra or Optus, you can connect to your own wi-fi.
